How To Develop Solid Rhythm, Part 3- When the Bottom Drops
Welcome to the third lesson in the solid rhythm series. In this lesson we're going to learn an excellent way to improve your sense of rythmic timing. Being comfortable during silence is a critical skill for guitarists. But, before you begin this tutorial, you should be pretty comfortable with a few different strum patterns. It could also help to know some of the basics of rhythm from the primer series, though this isn't absolutely necessary.
The video below takes a look at an excellent little online tempo trainer. Basically, it allows you to play with a beat, and then take that beat away. When it comes back in you'll know if you're timing is off. Check it out:
